Terms of Service

These terms cover everything we operate under the Strings Vibing name: this website with Tiny Strings Radio and Wafer Academy, the Tiny Strings Radio mobile app, and our paid app Till the End. They tell you what you get, what you may do with it, what we promise, and what we do not promise. There is no small print anywhere else.

1. Who you are dealing with

Strings Vibing, Tiny Strings Radio, Wafer Academy and Till the End are operated by:

Where these terms say “we”, “us” or “the operator”, they mean that company. Where they say “you”, they mean whoever is listening, reading or using an app.

2. What these terms cover

stringsvibing.com — the website, including the Tiny Strings Radio player and the Wafer Academy lessons.
Tiny Strings Radio — the mobile app that plays the same stream. Available for Android; an iOS version is in preparation and these terms will apply to it too.
Till the End — a separate, paid app sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Sections 8 and 9 are written specifically for it. Till the End also has its own Terms of Use and disclaimer, which describe what that app is and is not; for that app, its own terms take precedence over these where the two differ.

By opening the website, playing the stream or installing one of the apps, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, the remedy is simple: close the page or uninstall the app. Nothing is owed either way.

3. The free services

The website, the radio stream and Wafer Academy are free. There is no registration, no account, no login, no subscription and no paywall. We do not ask for your name or your e-mail address, and there is nothing to sign up for.

Because there is no account, there is also nothing for you to lose if you stop using the service, and nothing for us to close. Your reading progress in Wafer Academy and your choice of theme and language are stored by your own browser on your own device — see the Privacy Policy.

We may change what the free services contain, reorganise them, or stop offering them altogether. We are not obliged to keep any particular track, lesson or feature online.

4. Availability, or the lack of it

Tiny Strings Radio is a small, independently run station. The stream can drop out, the server can be restarted, a track can end abruptly, and the site can be offline for maintenance or for no good reason at all. We give no guarantee of availability, continuity or uninterrupted playback, and we do not operate a support desk with response times.

The number shown next to “listening” is a count of open connections to the audio stream, not a count of people. One person with two devices counts twice, and our own monitoring counts too. Treat it as a rough signal, not a statistic.

None of this affects rights you have by law as a consumer — see section 10.

5. The music and the lessons

The music broadcast on Tiny Strings Radio is original work created under the artist name DJ Mitch, and the rights to it are held by the operator. The Wafer Academy lessons, the site design, the logo and the texts are ours as well.

What you may do: listen to the stream as much as you like, wherever you like, privately or with friends in the room. Read the lessons, learn from them, and quote short passages with a link back.

What you may not do without our written permission:

record, rip or download the stream and keep copies of the tracks;
re-broadcast the stream, embed the audio in another station, or play it as background in a commercial space;
use the music in your own videos, streams, podcasts, reels, games or advertising — including monetised social media content;
republish whole lessons or large parts of the site elsewhere;
use any of it as training data for machine learning models.

This is not us being difficult. Write to us and describe what you want to do — for creative and non-commercial projects the answer is often yes, and it costs you nothing but an e-mail.

6. Using the service fairly

Do not attack, overload or try to break into the service; do not scrape it in a way that degrades it for other listeners; do not attempt to bypass technical limits or extract the underlying audio files; do not use the service for anything illegal. If you do, we may block your access without notice. Given that there are no accounts, blocking is technical and blunt, and it may catch other people on the same network.

7. Thumbs up, thumbs down

The player lets you rate the track that is currently playing. This is feedback for programming the station, nothing more. It creates no account, gives you no rights over the playlist, and we may weight, ignore or delete votes — in particular automated ones. What is stored when you vote is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Till the End — the paid app

Till the End is a paid application. You buy it in the Apple App Store or on Google Play, not from us directly. That matters in practice:

the purchase, the payment, the price shown to you in your country, the receipt and the tax treatment are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms;
we never see your payment details. We receive sales reports from the stores that do not identify individual buyers;
we are the developer and publisher of the app and remain responsible for what the app itself does.

The app is an informational and reflective tool. The countdown it shows is a statistical average from public life-expectancy tables — it is not a prediction about you, it is not medical or financial advice, and it must not be used to make decisions about your health or your money. The app is intended for adults. The full disclaimer is part of the app’s own Terms of Use and you confirm it inside the app before any figure is shown.

9. Refunds and the right of withdrawal

Because the sale happens in the store, refunds are requested there:

Apple App Store: Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple.
Google Play: Google Play refund policies.

Separately from the stores’ own policies, a consumer buying digital content in the EU normally has fourteen days to withdraw from the contract. There is an important exception for digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium: once delivery has begun with your express prior consent, and you have acknowledged that this consent means losing the right to withdraw, the right to withdraw ends. Downloading and opening an app is exactly that situation, and the store asks for that consent as part of its purchase flow.

If a refund request is rejected by the store and you believe you are entitled to one under consumer law, write to us. We cannot process the payment ourselves, but we will take it up with the store on your behalf and reply to you.

10. Liability

The free services are provided as they are, without any warranty of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Wafer Academy is educational material written in good faith, not professional advice; do not build a fab on it.

We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for harm to life and health, and in every other case where the law does not allow liability to be limited. We do not exclude or limit any right you have as a consumer under mandatory law, and nothing in these terms should be read as trying to.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost data, missed opportunities — arising from the service being unavailable or behaving unexpectedly.

11. Complaints and disputes

Please write to us first. Most things are a misunderstanding and are solved in one e-mail. Our address, e-mail and phone number are in section 1, and we answer at the e-mail address given there.

If we cannot agree and you are a consumer, you can turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, which is the competent body for the out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes in the Czech Republic. This is a voluntary, non-judicial procedure and it does not take away your right to go to court.

You may have seen other websites link to the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform. That platform stopped accepting complaints in March 2025 and was shut down on 20 July 2025, so we do not link to it. The national body above is the route that works.

12. Changes to these terms

We will change these terms when the service changes — for example when the iOS app ships, or when we change what is stored with a vote. When we do, we change the effective date at the top of this page and describe what changed. Changes are not retroactive: they apply to how you use the service after the new date.

For the free services there is nothing to accept and nothing to cancel; if a change does not suit you, stop using them. For Till the End, a change to these terms does not affect a purchase you already made.

13. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, and the Czech courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country.
